The potential
Why a filtered marketplace beats a directory
Open directories optimise for listings. TaleoCert optimises for the match — because a wrong trainer costs a client far more than the fee.
The problem with open listings
A directory's incentive is volume: more profiles, more search results, more chances of a click. The cost of a bad match lands entirely on the buyer — a wasted training day, a disengaged team, and a budget line that gets questioned next quarter.
A filtered marketplace inverts that. Fewer, verified profiles. Expertise recorded against a managed taxonomy rather than self-declared keywords. Delivery history attached to the profile so claims are checkable. The platform carries some of the risk, so it has a reason to care whether the match works.
What we filter on
Identity
Government ID and contact verification before a profile goes live. Rejected applicants never reach the marketplace.
Credentials
Certifications and qualifications are captured with supporting documents and reviewed, not taken on trust.
Expertise
Skills map to an admin-managed category tree, so 'Kubernetes' means the same thing on every profile.
Seniority
A five-rung ladder from Foundational to Master, so the level matches the audience.
Delivery record
Organisations trained and sessions delivered are derived from real bookings, not self-reported.
Feedback
Ratings and testimonials come only from clients with a completed, paid engagement.
